At Peak Plastering & Rendering, we recently completed a project that required extensive rendering & structural repairs before we could apply the final render. The home had cracks caused by failing wall ties, compromising its structural integrity. To ensure stability, we carefully removed and replaced the damaged wall ties, reinforcing the structure with new wall ties and Helifix bars to prevent future issues.
Strengthening the Structure
One of the biggest concerns was the brickwork above the windows, which had started to shift. To address this, we installed new concrete lintels and rebuilt the affected brickwork to restore the home’s strength. Alongside this, additional new wall ties were installed to ensure even greater stability.

Once the necessary rendering & structural repairs were completed, we applied a full mesh system before finishing the exterior with a high-quality monocouche render. This type of render was chosen for its durability, low maintenance, and excellent weather resistance, ensuring a long-lasting, attractive finish.
